Alex is a great teacher, my daughter loves the lessons and Alex has really put her at ease. He is very patient and takes the time to explain and demonstrate clearly. He is extremely knowledgeable and makes the lessons fun, always picking music that my daughter likes which gives her a real purpose to learning the guitar. Highly recommended!

Alex is a complete revelation as a guitar teacher. His enthusiasm is infectious. He is genuinely interested in the student, and them learning the songs that they want. He is patient and considerate, but encouraging and challenging. In a short space of time, I have learned more than I could ever have imagined and I can’t wait to learn more, which is credit to Alex. I cannot recommend him highly enough, if you are looking for a guitar teacher; whatever your standard currently.

Being taught guitar by Alex as a very eager beginner, I was surprised to find my teacher just as excited as I was about my progress. Alex has a passion for understanding and playing all things guitar, and in his lessons shares not only the understanding, but the passion too. He is an expert player and can make tabs and backing tracks for any song in minutes.
On top of his expertise, it’s his contagious enthusiasm for music that keeps you excited to play each day.

Alex is an outstanding teaching, demonstrating skill, kindness and a great sense of fun. Like many people, I’ve used lockdown as an opportunity to learn a new skill and have been ‘playing-ish’ the banjo since March 2020. In July I decided that professional help was needed. Since being tutored by Alex I’ve learned so much and even my son has noticed I’m progressing. The lessons are relaxed, encouraging, very clear and good fun. Alex never fails to make me laugh and he’s got the patience of a saint. The wrap around support provided is brilliant, involving the zoom class, downloadable tab, instructional video to refer back to in between lessons, and even my own bespoke Spotify list. I genuinely can’t thank Alex enough for teaching me to play – I never thought I’d be able to do it. Thank you.

I have wanted to learn the ukulele for three years, and try as I did to learn it myself with my full time job. I was lacking motivation, commitment and understanding of the instrument itself.

I Love working with a teacher to learn and I couldn’t be happier with Alex. I look forward to our classes, I have been working with him for three months and I am going nowhere. He has such a fun way of teaching and although I’ve only done zoom classes (also how I do my Spanish classes and it doesn’t cause any hindrance to the fun or learning) they are working perfectly so I can only imagine classes in person, when possible, will be better.

He really makes an effort to prepare the music you want to play – any song I want he ‘ukuleles’ it!!! Making it sound unique and amazing, all the more love for the Ukulele. It is such a powerful little instrument and I’m learning the theory behind it now with natural progression in playing.

The lessons include some genuine care about how your week is, videos to playback for learning at home and the music I picked or he recommends based on my likes and tabbed by Alex with incredible picking styles. It’s truly a personnel lesson and I feel like I have am developing a friendship with Alex and a relationship with the instrument. I’m able to make good sounding music with the dream of amazing music! and ultimate comfort using it and I’m sticking with Alex to get me there.

Alex is a great tutor, helping me to improve my guitar skills. His comfortable and well equipped studio is the perfect location as I embark on my musical adventure!

I have absolutely no previous musical experience so learning to play the banjo was quite daunting! However, from the outset, Alex has made me feel extremely comfortable, planned all of my lessons around my own musical tastes and made learning to play such an enjoyable experience. I started playing guitar quite a few years ago, and have picked it up and dropped it many times – never really getting to where I wanted to be. I am new to the guitar although it is something I have wanted to do for some time. I got in touch with Alex and have had my first 6 lessons with him which I have thoroughly enjoyed.
